this is so surreal. never in my life would i have ever imagined that i'd win something like this. j and i are so amped and we hi-5 each other whenever we say i'm going to africa!

man this has been an unbelievable year. first art chicago and then the skowhegan residency and now this. i'm grateful for all the love and support i've gotten during my grad years. it's crazy how this is all working out and i feel like i owe my success to those who've cared so much.
